Going Local Initiative (GLI) established in 2021 is Committed to Making Homeownership Affordable. GLI is a Community Housing Development Organization that provides decent, affordable housing to low- and moderate-income families; funded by HUD HOME Investments Partnerships Program (HOME Program).
GLI will support and revitalize communities through the rehabilitation of existing homes and new construction in target areas in and around Clarksville, Montgomery, and Stewart County.

Our first project site in downtown Clarksville was unveiled in May 2022. The current structure will be demolished and replaced with two single family residences. Going Local Initiative will expand their projects in 2023 with a goal of five additional housing sites.
